LARGE AREAS OF VALLEY FLOODED
(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, May 4. “The river Po burst its banks near Turin to-day after a week of almost ceaseless rain m Northern Italy, flooding large areas in the Po valley,” says Reuter’s correspondent in Turin, “The water reached the first floor of houses in some parts of the Turin region. The situation in Piedmont is described as grave.”
