HOLIDAY IN NEW ZEALAND

UNIVERSITY STUDENTS FROM AUSTRALIA

DOMINION PARTY TO GO TO COMMONWEALTH (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright)

(Rec. 11 p.m.) BRISBANE. May 5. One hundred Australian University students will spend a working holiday in New Zealand next Christmas, according to Mr F. G. Brennan, president of the National Union of Australian University Students. Mr Brennan has just returned from New Zealand, where he sought the co-opera-tion of the Government and the New Zealand University Students’ Association.

Under the arrangement made, 100 students from Australian universities will leave Sydney late in November to spend eight weeks in New Zealand. Most of them will go to the south of the Dominion, where they will stay with the families of New Zealand students. The New Zealand Labour Department and the Students’ Association will find them positions. It is hoped that they will earn sufficient to cover all their expenses. By a similar arrangement, 100 New Zealand students will visit Australia.
