The Panamanian Government is pressing for the extradition to Panama of a New Zealander and an ! American, on charges of complicity in i a revolutionary plot against the Govi ernment of Panama. Berry and O’Hanlon have denied the charges. On the representations of the Panamanian Government, Berry and O’Hanlon were taken into the custody of the Costa Rican police last week, but were released for .lack of evidence. Panama now demands that the men be arrested and held under the Bustamente Act, which allows detention for 60 days, pending the submission of evidence in support of an application for extradition. 1

Costa Rican police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Berry and O’Hanlon, but the chief detective told Reuter that the men were hiding.
