NEW PRESIDENT OF UNION
MR D. S. MAX ELECTED - (New Zealand Press Association.) WELLINGTON. May 5. Mr D. S. Max (Nelson) to-day took office as president of the New Zealand Rugby Union, having been elected unopposed. There is one change in the executive, Mr A. A. Baker (Auckland), who was elected last year being replaced by Mr L. A. H. Clode (Southland). Messrs A. McDonald and J. H. Parker, managers of the All Blacks, were re-elected. Mr R. W. S. Botting (Otago) was elected as South Island vice-president. The senior vice-president is Mr J. A. Finlayson (North Auckland). Mr R. J. Smith (Bush) was elected a life member. ‘
