WOMEN CRICKETERS ARRIVE

TOURING ENGLISH TEAM (P.A.) WELLINGTON, February 28. The touring English women's cricket team arrived by the Wanganella from Sydney this afternoon. The manager (Miss N. Rheinberg) said the New Zealand authorities had done a good job in arranging the team's itinerary in time. A tribute to Australian hospitality was paid by the team’s captain (Miss M. Hide). "It has been a wonderful trip throughout.” she said. "We have tried to play bright cricket, the kind the public wants, and we have tried to get a definite result in every game. The Australians had the same view, and we had some very exciting games as a result.”
