Infectious Diseases.—The following cases of infectious diseases were notified in the Canterbury-West Coast health district for the week ending February 28 (West Coast figures in parenthesis):—scarlet fever, 1 (1); tuberculosis. 5 (1); poliomyelitis, 1 (nil): puerperal sepsis, 1 (nil); eclampsia. I (nil); food poisoning, 3 (nil); total, 12 (2). No deaths were reported in either area.
