WHOSE ROAD ?
Sir,—What local body is responsible for the disgraceful condition of the road between Pleasant Point bridge and Linwood avenue through the Drainage Board’s property, which is the shortest route between our two principal beaches. Sumner and Brighton?—Yours, etc., J. E. WILLIAMS. February 21, 1949. [ln reply to this letter the county clerk of the Heathcote County (Mr A. E. Amyes) said that application had been made to have this road (Dyers road) declared a State highway.]
