There was a close finish for the Nelson Shield in the «New Zealand surf lifesaving championships completed at Waipj this afternoon. The Nelson Shield tor the senior rescue and. resuscitation championship was won by New Brighton, 72.25 points The second team was Maranui, 72.20 points.
