TOURNAMENT ON WEST COAST CHRISTCHURCH PLAYERS DOING WELL Fine weather prevailed in the West Coast Croquet Association’s tournament When it was resumed yesterday at the Makura greens. Results of games played on Saturday and yesterday were:— Championship Singles First Life.—Petty (Nelson) beat Mrs Hosking (Christchurch), 26-18; Mrs Martin (Christchurch) beat Mrs Dickie (Christchurch), 26-17; Mrs Martin (Christchurch) beat Mrs Nicholls (Christchurch), 26-16. Second Life.—Third round: Mrs Howard (Runanga) beat Mrs Nicholls (Christchurch), 26-25; Mrs Martin (Christchurch) beat Mrs Hosking (Christchurch), 26-10; Mrs McCracken (Christchurch) beat Mrs Wilson (Runanga) 26-8. Championship Doubles First Round.—Mesdames Prescott and Keating (Greymouth) beat Mrs Shannon and Miss McKnight (Greymouth), Mesdames Rhodes and Nicholls (Christchurch) beat Mesdames Warnes and’ Mercer (Greymouth), 26-16. Second Round.—Mesdames McCracken and Gandle (Christchurch) beat Mesjames Martin and Bull (Christchurch), 26-19. Handicap Doubles Second Round.—Mrs Hooper and Miss McKnight (Greymouth) beat Mesdames McCracken and Ray (Christchurch), 26-18
