Extra lighting will be installed in Rowan avenue to reduce the danger and congestion of traffic when meetings are being held at the Aranui Speedway at night. This was decided by the Heathcote County Council last evening, when the chairman (Mr F W Freeman) reported that complaints had been made to him by the Transport Department about the difficulties of handling , the traffic. Complaints made to the council by residents of Rowan avenue about the parking of cars in the avenue on evenings when practices were being held at the speedway were referred to the department.
