(P.A.) WELLINGTON. February 25. The appearance of a number of candidates for the Wellington meeting will provide interest at the Woodville District Jockey Club’s meeting to-morrow. The winners of the principal events, the Woodville and Flying Handicaps, will not be liable for rehandicap if they are engaged in the open events on the first day at Trentham. Scratchings to-day were:—Oringi Highweight Handicap: Lady’s Man (12.47 p.m.); Golden Hope (11.55 a.m.); Loyal Camp (11.35 a.m.); Woodville Handicap: Indian Song (9.30 a.m.); Country Hack Handicap: Queen’s Parade (3.15 p.m.); President’s Hack Handicap: Queen’s Parade (3.15 p.m.). The weather has been fine and the going will be in good order. Betting is win and place, and the.favourites may include v—--11 a.m.—Oringi High-weight Handicap: Lord Boswells, Magnus Lux, Sheilwyn. 11.45 a.m.—Maiden Plate: First division: Jaconet. Miss Broiefort. Second division: Dandy Ninth, Here’s How. 12.30 p.m.—Woodville Handicap: Hasty Glance, Emerge, Sly Ferry. 1.15 p.m.—Sapling Stakes: First division: Tairua, Rising Tide. Second division: Peaseblossom, Sweet Spray. 2 p.m.—Ruahine Handicap: Autoshine, Da Vinci, Lord Azure. 2.45 p.m.—County Hack Handicap: Blue Skimmers, Determination, Melite. 3.30 p.m.—President’s Hack Handicap: Ngarobi, Master Fox, Announcer. 4.20 p.m.—Kumeroa Hack Handicap: Bonanza, Leyma, Hormond.
