APPLES FOR U.K.
FIRST SHIPMENT OF SEASON (P.A.) WELLINGTON. Feb. 25. The first shipment in this season’s export of apples to the United Kingdom is being loaded into the Port Wyndham in Wellington. Her consignment consists of 10,000 cases of Cox’s Orange from the Nelson district. More are to follow soon, but the output this season is expected to fall far short of last year's exceptional tothl, and exports will be considerably below last year’s figure of 1,000,000 cases.
