NATIONALISTS IN N. IRELAND
ADMISSION TO DAIL CONSIDERED
STATEMENT BY EIRE PRIME MINISTER (Bee. 7 ,p.m.) DUBLIN, February 23, The Prime Minister of Eire . (Mr John Costello) disclosed in the Dail that his Government was examining the possibility of admitting to the Dail Nationalist members of the lreland Parliament in Belfast.
A member of the Dail had asked Mr Costello if the Eire Government had considered a request from Mr E. McAteer, a Nationalist member of the Northern Ireland Parliament, to take a seat in the Dail, and if the Govern-' ment had considered the legal and constitutional changes necessary to “enable elected representatives of the Irish people now residing in the six northern counties to take their seals in the Dail.” Mr Costdllo then replied that the position was being examined.
