Rose Hip Syrup.—As with several other seasonable lines, merchants complete their purchases of rose hip svrup at one period of the year. With the growing demand for this product, it is difficult to regulate . the supply. Last season’s stocks are amjpst exhausted, and the manufacturers advise it will be April or May before the new season’s will be ready. Whitebait.—lncreased sales are likelv to follow for a brand of tinned whitebait now on this market in 7oz tins. Merchants are advised of a reduction in price of approximately 30 per cent., and where retailers have purchased at the new rates the price to the consumer should now be more aty-active.
