NORTH IRELAND ELECTIONS

Sir,—Reading "Loyal Briton’s” letter I could not help smiling; it sounded as if "Loyal Briton” were trying to play at politics, but only pointing out domestic errors. Don’t you think, when there is a dispute or any trouble in a country, that it’s everybody’s business and not only the statesmen’s? The number of Britons that go to Eire shows that they too must like disorder. Ireland is in a spot of bother at the moment, but so is almost every country. I feel sure the statesmen in Ireland will settle this dispute about the partition to the satisfaction of Ireland. —Yours, etc., ONE OF THE LOYAL IRISH. February 18, 1949.
