When the South Canterbury Croquet Association’s annual tournament was continued to-day at Timaru, the results of the finals and the semi-finals were:— Championship Doubles. Semi - final: Mesdames L. Stockdale and H. J. French (United) beat Mesdames J. Jones and J. M. Robertson (Westport), 26-15; Mesdames G. Metcalf (St. Clair) and D. Austin (Punga) beat Mesdames H. Patchett and J. Sligo (Timaru), 26-18. Women’s Championship Singles.—First life, semi-final: Mrs J. Jones (Westport) beat Mrs H. Patchett (Timaru), 26-20. Second life, semi-final: Mrs R. H. Clark (Tainui) beat Mrs G. Metcalf (St. Clair). 26-14. B Grade Championship Singles.—First life, semi-final: Mrs S. C. King (Geraldine) beat Mrs M. C. Milne (Methven), 26-15. Final: Miss R. Kirk (Geraldine) beat Mrs S. C. King (Geraldine), 26-10. C Grade Championship Singles.—Second life, final: A. Hathaway (Aorangi) beat E. Paterson (St. Paul’s), 26-22. Hathaway, who won both lives, won the event, with Paterson runner-up, by default from R. H. Clark (Dunedin Men’s Club). Senior Handicap Doubles.—Semi-final: Mesdames G. Bridges and M. Savin (Timaru) beat Mesdames E. Queree and E. Phillip (Timaru), 26-5; Mesdames G. Metcalf (St. Clair) and A. J. Kennedy (Geraldine) beat Mesdames A. J. Milne (St. Paul’s) and D. Austin ' (Punga). 26-16. Final: Mesdames Metcalf and Kennedy beat Mesdames Bridges and Savin, 26-21. Senior Handicap Singles.—Semi-final: Mrs J. Jones (Westport) beat Mrs W. McHerron (Westport), 26-25. Junior Handicap Singles.—Final: E. Paterson (St. Paul’s) beat Mrs B. G. Reynolds (United). 26-12.
