GROWERS SELL DIRECT TO THE PUBLIC.—A street scene in an Auckland suburb on Monday, when fruit and vegetables were sold by the growers direct to the public. About 100 growers manned motortrucks and carried their produce to vantage points in the city and suburbs. It has now been agreed that the dispute between retailers and growers over produce container charges shall be referred to a special tribunal set up by the Government.
