MORALE IN R.A.F.
INQUIRY MADE BY PSYCHOLOGISTS CABINET TO RECEIVE REPORT (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 22. “Air Ministry psychologists have been making an inquiry into the state of Royal Air Force morale,” says the ‘Daily Express.” “Their report, which was ordered eight months ago after reports of a serious decline in the efficiency and discipline of Royal Air Force units, will be presented to the Cabinet shortly. “The recommendations are believed to include an increase in pay and allowances, improvements in accommodation, and more operational exercises. “A team of psychologists interviewed hundreds of men to discover why they were ‘browned off’ and asked the wives of officers and men living in station quarters their opinion of Royal Air Force life.”
