CHINESE CABINET
RETURN TO NANKING NOT DECIDED DISCUSSIONS IN CANTON (Rec. 7 p.m.) NANKING, Feb. 21. Whether the Chinese Nationalist Prime Minister (Dr. Sun Fo) and his Cabinet would reHirn to Nanking from Canton or whether the Prime Minister would resign was still unknown to-night after a day of formal and informal gatherings in Canton at which the Acting-President (General Li Tsung-jen) and Dr. Sun Fo were present. Another appeal for peace was made by General Li when he addressed a large gathering of legislators. Government officials, and military men. Urging support for peace. General Li reminded his listeners that “those who take the sword shall perish by the sword.”
General Li met about 60 members of the Legislative Yuan, but he made no’direct appeal for them to return to Nanking to attend the forthcoming meeting.
