An Interesting Judgment.—The full High Court at Melbourne yesterday decided that holders of debenture stock m Goldsbrough, Mort and Company, who. are resident in Australia, must be paid in English currency. The Court dismissed with costs an appeal by the company from a judgment by Mr Justice Fullagar in the Victorian Supreme Court. The company contended that debentures were dischargable in currency of the place where payment was made, and pointed out that payments by local shareholders to the company were in local currency. The majority of the High Court as the company was English, payment should be in English currency,—(N.Z.P.A.)
