CHURCH AND STATE IN HUNGARY
MEETING OF BISHOPS REPORTED (Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, February 19. The Hungarian Roman Catholic bishops met privately yesterday, but adjourned without a decision after studying a letter from Cardinal Mindszenty urging peace between Church and State, according to reliable reports quoted by the Budapest correspondent of the Associated Press. The letter was written after the trial of Cardinal Mindszenty.
