NEW MINISTERS ORDAINED
METHODIST CHURCH OF N.Z. CP A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 20. w IV ordination service was held in Wellington to-day in conjunction with tne meeting of the executive committee of the conference of Methodist Church of New Zealand. The full annual conference, usually held in February, will be held this year, and in future in November.
Those ordained to-day were the Revs. L. Clements, W. Green, W. H Gregory, D. I. A. McDonald, N. W. Olds, F. H. Parker, B. H. Riseley, and L. Shapcott. The Rev. G. A. -R. Cornwall was also ordained and will leave soon for the Methodist mission field in the Solomons.
The service was conducted by the president of the conference (the Rev. E. T. Olds), assisted by the immediate past-president (the Rev. Dr. W. G. Slade), the connexional secretary (the Rev. H. L. Fiebig), and the vice-pre-sident (Mr H. H. Johnson). The congratulations of the church were extended to Mr Justice Stanton on his appointment to the Bench of the Supreme Court. His resignation from the office of legal adviser to the church was accepted with regret and Mr H. de R. Flesher, of Christchurch, was appointed his successor. The Rev. A. Walker, of Sydney, will be invited to New Zealand in connexion with the “spiritual advance tampaign*’ in 1950.
