The first and second heats of the Christchurch Model Yacht Club’s sixth club race were sailed on Victoria Lake in a north-north-west wind under the supervision of Mr James Matthews. Results:— First Heat.—Bonita (W. Evans, smin), 24min 26sec, 1; Phyllis (V. Thomas, 3min 20sec). 23min 39sec, 2; Venus (E. Ticklie, smin), 26min Bsec, 3- Beverley (J. Hiscock, smin 40sec), 27min 32sec, 4; Whitewings (B. George. 20sec). 23min 10sec, 5. Second Heat.—Avenger (W. Beauchamp, smin 30sec), 22min 2sec, 1; Minka (F, Jago, smin), 23min 38sec, 2; ,(B. McGuiness, smin), 25min 12sec, 3; Phyllis (3min 20sec), 25mm 39sec, 4; Whitewings (20sec), 21min 49sec. 5.
Points gained were:—Bonita 8, Avenger 8, Phyllis 7, Minka 5. Seafire 3, Venus 3, Beverley 2, Whitewings 2 The eighteenth heat of the points trophy race was sailed in a light northeast wind and resulted as follows: Whitewings (scr), 46min 39sec, 1; Mabs (C.
