DISCUSSIONS AT RHODES
ARMISTICE SAID TO BE NEAR LONDON, February 16. “The Israel and Egyptian Governments were nearing an armistice, said the acting United Nations mediator (Dr. Ralph Bunche),” says the Rhodes correspondent of the Associated Press. “He said that both sides had agreed on the major problems which had nearly caused the collapse of the negotiations a fortnight ago. The talks will end in a few days.”
