Pumping Station Site Negotiations for the purchase by the Christchurch Drainage Board of two sections in Marshland road for a pumping station site fell through because the vendor (Mr F. G. H. Alexandre) was not prepared to accept the Land Sales Court’s valuation of £290, the contract price having been £350. It was reported to the board this week that an appeal against the valuation was to be heard next week. If the price then fixed is not acceptable to the vendor, the board will proceed to acquire the sections under the Public JVorLs Apt.
