NEW WORLD LABOUR MOVEMENT
PROPOSAL BY AMERICAN UNIONS 10 NEW YORK, Jan. 25. The American Federation of Labour would like to see the British Trades union Congress take a lead in the creation of a new world labour movement* *"5 successor to the World Federation
of Trade Unions,” says the Washington correspondent of the “New York Times.” “To this end federation leaders hope that British unionists will send spokesmen to a meting of the council of the federation, which will open at Miami. Florida, on January 31. to discuss the situation. “The federation vzill make no conditions for its meeting but v. ill propose that the new world labour body be an all inclusive organisation and, above all. that it be conducted by large and small labour centres and not by a •big three’ or ‘big four.’ ”
