DUTCH IMMIGRANTS ARRIVE
EIGHTEEN OF PARTY TO WORK ON FARMS
(P.A.) AUCKLAND. January 26. Thirty-two more Dutch immigrants reached New Zealand by a Skymastcr aircraft from Sydney to-day. Eighteen °f them aged between 18 and 21. will Work on farms. They were met by the Netherlands Minister to New Zealand (Dr. B. D. Pennink). and the Agricultural Attache (Mr H. de Bruin). Four of the farm hands will go to Hamilton, one each to Warkworth, whangarei. and Taumarunui, two each to New Plymouth, Palmerston North. Carterton. and Greymouth, and three to Invercargill. The other immigrants include a technical draughtsman, a teacher, a truck driver, a motor mechanic, ano 8 clerk. “It seems so peaceful here after Australia, where people seem to.be in °De mad rush.” said one of the immigrants. Where ever they went, they had been overwhelmed with offers of jobs.
