DOGS LEFT IN CARS

Sir, —Motorists leaving -dogs in parked cars are strongly advised to leave at least one window partly open, preferably two. Recently a dog was seen in great distress in a car parked in Gloucester street; fortunately the back door of the car was unlocked and it was possible to open one of the windows, all of which were closed, and it was found that a slight petrol leakage had almost caused the dog to succumb.—Yours, etc., MOTORIST. December 13, 1948.
