(P.A.) AUCKLAND, December 14. Barbara Kathleen Gordon, aged 35, a married woman, of Howick, appeared on summons in the Magistrate’s Court today, and pleaded guilty to charges of establishing a lottery on July 15, and selling liquor without a licence. Senior-Detective Finlay said that, on the suggestion of certain sporting clubs, the defendant established a lottery without authority. On the first charge, the defendant was fined £5O. She was convicted and discharged on the second charge.
