AIRCRAFT FOR TASMAN SERVICE

SIR L. ISITT PRAISES SOLENTS (P.A.) AUCKLAND, October 28. The adoption of land planes for the Tasman service was being considered, but at present suitable aircraft were not available, said Sir Leonard Isitt, chairman of directors of the Tasman Empire Airways, to-day. No land planes could be delivered within 12 months, and there was every indication that the Solent aircraft ordered would be delivered within the next few months. “I flew in a Solent wnile in'Britain,” he said, “and I am convinced there is no aircraft in the world that can match it for passenger comfort .and reliability.”
