—♦— — BIBLE CLASSES’ ANNUAL RACE The Anglican Bible classes held their annual cross-country race over a three and a half-mile course from St. John’s Schoolroom, Woolston, on Saturday. CLUBS HOLD TRIALS Christchurch.—Members of the Christchurch Harrier Club competed in the annual open handicap bracelet race of four miles and a half. Results: —H. Timaru Anglican Club.—Boys of St. Saviour’s Boys’ Home competed for the Surrell Shield in a handicap race over <our miles and a half. Placings were: R. Brownie (scr) 1, I. Whitcombe 2, J. Jones 3. Bennett 3. As well as visiting athletes veteran runners also participated in the club’s events.
