DOWDY?
Sir,—l am glad to see “Gilly Flower’s” letter. We do, indeed, need to see a battle royal against the foolish, heathen practices of. using lipstick and painting nails. Among the many women’s associations formed in these days is .there not one to make a determined stand? Or do the leaders themselves approve the silly fashions?— Yours, etc., COMMONSENSE September 23, 1948.
