TRAM DAMAGED IN COLLISION
A tram coming into Christchurch from New Brighton struck the rear of a Tramway bus at the corner of Cashel street and Fitzgerald avenue at 7.50 p.m. yesterday. The front of the tram was damaged and its air-pipe system burst, necessitating its removal under tow to the sheds. The bus was not damaged, and the tram service was taken over by a bus until another tram could be put on.
