N.Z. TEAM TIES WITH TASMANIA

Brown and L. Bowditch, 5 and 4. Silk and Glading lost to Len Nettlefold and E. J. Willing, 2 and 1. In the singles, - Silk beat Nettlefold, 4 and 3; Glading beat Willing, 2 and 1; Woon lost to Brown, 1 down; Hornabrook lost to Bowditch, 4 and 2.

LOCAL BODIES’ TOURNAMENT The Christchurch local bodies’ annual golf tournament, held at the Rawhiti Golf Course yesterday, resulted as follows:—Stableford bogey (J. S. Neville Cup), M. B. Hayes, 40; J. I. Clark, 37'. Women’s Stableford, Mrs S. F. Craze, 35; Mrs M. B. Hayes, 31.

Men’s stroke handicap (for the J. W. Beanland Cup): H. Tillman, 83, 19—64; S. A. O’Callaghan, 83, 18—65. Women’s stroke handicap: Mrs A. C. Freeborn, 92, 22 70; Mrs R. C. Stewart was runner-up.
