EXPLOSION IN TOWN IN ALGERIA
19 KILLED, 100 INJURED (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright)
(Rec. 7 p.m.) PARIS, Sept. 22. Two army lorries loaded with explosives collided at Laghat (Algeria) and exploded, killing 19 persons and injuring 100, says the French press agency.
The explosion set fire to a number of houses, rendered many people homeless, and wrecked the entire army quarter.
