SPRING FLOWER SHOW Favoured by excellent weather in the last few weeks, growers of spring flowers were able to make a splendid display at the annual spring show of the Lyttelton Horticultural Society, opened in the Oddfellows’ Hall yesterday afternoon by the Mayor (Mr F. G. Briggs). In the open class, the premier bloom was shown by Mr D. J. Field, with “Sulphuring.” The champion bloom in the amateur section. “Heathcote,” was exhibited by Mr J). Parkinson.
