SEA SCOUT SHIP AT LYTTELTON

ANNUAL TRAINING CRUISE The Alert, a Fairmile motor-ship for the Training of Sea Scouts, arrived at Lyttelton yesterday morning from Akaroa in the course of her annual training cruise. The vessel is commanded by the Dominion Commissioner of Sea Scouts (Mr A. J. Black). The Alert left Dunedin on Friday morning with a party of 10 Sea Scouts from the Anderson Bay troop, and has called at Oamarii. Timaru and Akaroa. On Sunday those on board were the guests of the Akaroa troop. From Lyttelton the Alert will go to Wellington. Nelson, New Plymouth, Patea, and Wanganui. Returning to Wellington from Wanganui, the vessel will then go to Auckland.
