N.Z. INDUSTRIES FAIR

WIDE RANGE OF EXHIBITS A radar unit, with towers 21 feet high, and weighing seven tons, a hun-dred-year-old Columbian hand press operating alongside a modern highspeed automatic printing press, and tanks of tropical fish will be included among the exhibits at the 1948 New Zealand Industries Fair, which will open at Christchurch next month. The metal trades group is displaying a composite exhibit showing all the phases of the engineering industry, the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research is installing the radar unit, the Club of Printing House Craftsmen is collaborating with the Master Printers’ Association in an exhibit which will explain the principal of printing, and a “design for living” exhibit shows furniture on modern and early lines.
