MEDICAL SERVICE

Sir, —In time possibly our bodies will become so adjusted that the five-day week will provide all the time necessary for our work, amusement, travel, and the inevitable occurrence of birth, death, accident and sickness. The process, however, is slow, but anyone trying to get a doctor at the week-end might be forgiven for thinking that the medical fraternity has decided to hasten matters on the principle that if a service is not available at any given' time it; will, not be required at that time. If one does communicate with a medical man he wants to know if the matter is urgent or serious. That is just what the patient wants to know.—Yours, etc., ’ SUFFERER. July 19, 1948.
