CRICKET
WELLINGTON’S PLUNKET SHIELD FIXTURES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 20. Wellington’s Plunket Shield cricket matches for the coming season have been set tentatively as: v. Auckland at Christmas, and v. Canterbury at New Year, both games at the Basin Reserve. Wellington, and v. Otago at Dunedin from January 14 to 18. This was announced at a meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association. It was reported that the Wellington Association was to receive £33 from the Auckland Association and £lO6 from the Canterbury Asscciation as its share of the proceeds of Plunket Shield matches.
