WORKING MEN’S CLUB INSURED FOR £l7OO From Our Own Reporter GREYMOUTH, July 19. The Greymouth Working Men’s Club, which was destroyed by fife on Sunday morning, was insured with the London and Liverpool and Globe Company, Ltd., for £l7OO. There was also a cover of £lOO on stock and fittings and £250 on the furniture. The committee of the club at a special meeting decided to continue operations and to take immediate steps to secure temporary premises. A general meeting of members will be held shortly to receive a report from the committee. The loss is estimated at £2500. The origin of the fire is still unknown. Two grate fires in the building were ex’ tinguished before the club was closed at 11 o’clock on Saturday night.
