The latest addition io the fleet of the British Phosphate Commission, the 7611ton motor-snip Triadic, will arrive at Auckland on Thursday with phosphate from Nauru Island. The Triadic, which is making her first visit to New Zealand, was formerly the Carpenter Line’s Levqka. registered at Suva. She was bought a few months ago. CONVERSION OF LIGHTER (P.A). AUCKLAND, July 19. One of the oldest units of the Northern Steamship Company’s coastal fleet, the lu9-ton motor-vessel Paroto, has been sold to Richardson and Company, Ltd., of Napier. She will be used as a lighter and will carry refrigerated cargo from Tokomsru Bay to Napier and from Picton to Wellington. The installation of insulated space and of two new Diesel engines will begin at Auckland almost immediately, and the vessel when converted will .carry about 150 tons of cargo.
