VATICAN TREATY DENOUNCED
RUMANIAN DECISION (Rec. 11 p.m.) BUCHAREST, July 17. Rumania to-day denounced the 1929 treaty with the Vatican on the ground that “under the new Cpnstitution, full freedom of religion must be guaranteed to Rumanians.’’ The Cabinet headed by Mr Julius Maniu, the Peasant Party leader who was sentenced to life imprisonment last November for treason, signed the 1929 treaty.
