RATS
Sir,—We householders living in the vicinity of Park terrace-Kilmore street are being over-run by rats. Anyone walking along Kilmore street can see through a gate that won’t shut, a row of what once were garbage tins but are now no longer fit to use as the rubbish is more on the ground than in the tin. Why the rubbish collectors don’t either take the holey tins—as rubbish —or refuse tq handle them is surprising. While such a feeding ground for rats is available it is of little use for us to trap and poison. What can be done about it?—Yours, etc., DISGUSTED. July 17, 1948.
