WINTER TOURNAMENT RESULTS The Christchurch Miniature Rifle Association continued the winter tournament matches last week, when the ninth series was fired. The outstanding feature in this week’s matches was the defeat of United, the present leader in the senior competi • tion, by Railway, with the record score of 558 out of a possible 560. No less than seven men scored possibles of 70 points out of eight, the eighth, counting scorer, dropping two points. Cashmere, which defeated the Christchurch Working Men’s Club team, had five possibles in its total of 553. Disputed targets resulted:—T. Graham 10, F. Lee, 10, 9; J. Miller, 9; J. A. Scott. 9, 9.
