RETRIEVER CHAMPIONSHIPS The Canterbury Gun Dog Club held the Club Retriever Breed Championship on the Waimakariri river-bed near the North Road traffic bridge. Good trophies and the fine weather helped to attract a big crowd of spectators and competitors. Judges for the day were Messrs C. J. Sowden and A. E. Seeker.
