CANCER PATIENT DIES
_ TREATED IN SYDNEY BY MR BRAUND
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, July 16. A New Zealand cancer patient who had been unsuccessfully treated by Mr J. Braund, of Sydney, has died at the Waihi Public Hospital. She was Mrs D. E. J. Davey, of Waihi.
Accompanied by her husband. Mrs Davey flew to Sydney on April 14 last, and commenced the Braund treatment. Subsequently she was admitted to a Sydney hospital, where her lower jaw was temporarily removed. She returned to Auckland by air on June 2. To assist in the expenses of the trip to Sydney, Waihi residents raised more than £2OO. Mrs Davey’ is survived by her husband and four children.
