WOMEN’S INSTITUTES
Mount Pleasant.— Mrs Harbutt presided at the annual' meeting. Mrs Morton spoke on federation affairs. A cup presented by Mrs R. Sladen for most points gained in competitions during the year was awarded to Mrs Ferguson. Mrs England was the runner-up. Mrs Harbutt and Mrs Cropp were re-elected president and secretary respectively. The following members of the committee were elected: Mesdames Cowan, Durant, England, Hodder, Keenlyside. Smith, Nicholls, Inwood, and Miss Bridgman.
