' GARDINER MEMORIAL TO GRILL OAMARU, March 21. The second day of the Oamaru Jodkey Club’s autumn meting was held yesterday in wet weather apd there was a heavy track. There was a small attendance, and the totalisator handled £14,152, compared with £32,395 bn the corresponding day last year, a decrease of £18,243. The total for the two days was £35,160, compared with £61,892 last year, a decrease of £26,732. J Nash, the owner of Beau le Havre, told Sydney reporters that the horse would never leave New Zealand permanently, and reminded them that he had refused an American offer of £30,000. “Beau le Havre is owned in. New Zealand, is by a New Zealand tire, and is essentially a New Zealand horse,” he added. “When he is finished with racing he will go to~ a New Zealand stud,”
