FREEDOM FOR 15 DAYS

WASHINGTON, March 19. The United States Attorney-General (Mr Tom Clark) has authorised the release of Dr. Irene Joliot Curie, th e famous French scientist who had peen detained on Ellis Islapd since her arrival from Paris yesterday. M r Clark ordered her release pending- further consideration of her case. She will he free on her own recognisance, without bail for- 15 days, which is the length of the visitor’s visa granted her Departmental sources spid privately to-day that the Attorney-General had placed no restrictions on hpr activities.
